Last Sunday was one of those very lovely summer days. Rays of sunshine made the street of Utrecht look alive and the Dom stood out even more against that beautiful blue sky. We, Loes and Laura, where on our way to Florent. At this lovely restaurant, around the corner of the Zadelstraat, we were invited to their special Sunday brunch with other bloggers. And even though we were inside, it was definitely worth it!

Off to a good start
Because everything looked delicious Loes and I decided to go for the four course tasting menu. An excellent choice because our first course, a ceviche made of halibut, was a perfect start. Fresh, with a nice fennel salad, goat yoghurt coriander dressing and a bite because of the pastarisso. Could this be any better?
Bisque and main course
After the ceviche we where treated to a bisque. Creamy and salty at the same time and great with a ‘not so typical’ Chardonnay (De Wetshof). This white wine was a South African wine and didn’t have that wood flavour that is so common in most Chardonnays. The soup was soon followed by a dish with duck and hete bliksem (potato and apples mashed together). Completely stuffed but with room for dessert we finished off our meal with white chocolate pannacotta and strawberries.
