The new hotel The Nox and the accompanying restaurant Hemel & Aarde are a very nice addition to Utrecht. We were lucky to get a sleepover in the hotel and were given the opportunity to taste the food of the restaurant.

Hidden in the small alleys of Utrecht lies the beautifully renovated Polman’s Huis. It took them years to fix it up but the result is overwhelming. We slept in the Honey Moon Suite which is a beautiful room with a view of the cathedral of Utrecht. A dream coming true…

As you can see it is a room with everything on and on for a good romantic evening. In the middle of the room there is a freestanding bath and you have access to a big rooftop terrace. we also loved the stylish interior and the use of classy blue on the walls. And of course, we slept wonderfully in the comfortable large bed

Because of the Corona virus we had the 7-course dinner served at our hotel room. It was a well thought out and structured menu. We started lightly and ended up with ‘Hemelse modder’ which is a delicious but heavy chocolate dessert. However, at the end of the night we were satisfied and could only dream of our wonderful evening.

Our conclusion: The hotel and restaurant are such an addition to Utrecht with their central location in the city, the rich history of the monumental building and of course the beautiful roos and delicious food.  It’s worth the visit!
