Is your mom the best mom in the world? Ours is! And since actions speak louder than words.. Do something nice in Utrecht this weekend. How about a brunch at Teds all day brunch or dinner with a view at WT Urban Kitchen? The following things will definitely get your mom’s stamp of approval!

Loft 88
A little bit outside the city you’ll find Loft 88. Do you like to be in touch with nature? Then this is the place to be! And even better: the restaurant (which looks like a farm) offers a special Mothersday high tea. What is included? Unlimited tea, different kinds of sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and homemade cakes. And best of all: mothers are offered a glass of bubbles!
Costs: € 19,5 (adults) € 7,5 (kids, 4-12)

Teds All Day Brunch
Pancakes, croissants and fresh orange juice. Grab a late breakfast or early lunch at Teds. Go crazy and order something with alcohol (champagne breakfast anyone?) or take it slow and enjoy a variety of croissants. Teds is cozy, has awesome white marble tables and some cheezy quotes on the wall!
Costs: 5 – 12 euro’s

Bakkerswinkel Utrecht
High tea in one of the werfkelders of Utrecht, now that’s a special location! At de Bakkerswinkel you’ll have a choice between a high noon tea (with soup) or the sweet high tea. The scones are always delicious, the jam is homemade (pineapple and mint is a very good combination) and the cheesecake is the best there is. Make sure to reserve in advance because the Bakkerswinkel is very populair.
Costs: € 21,50 for the High Noon tea, € 23,50 for the Bakkerswinkel High Tea

WT Urban Kitchen
Just as Loft 88, a little out of the city centre but worth the ride. WT Urban Kitchen is on top of an old Watertower. The view is incredible and their lunchmenu is chef’s choice. Make sure to book way in advance or follow them on Facebook or Instagram. Late minute cancellations are communicated via Social Media and sometimes they’ ll throw in an extra course or a glass of champagne.
Costs: € 29 for a three course meal (on thursday, friday, saturday and sunday)

Keek
If your mom is vegetarian (like Laura’s is) and into biological food, take her to Keek. Along the Twijnstraat this place offers a lot of original vegetarian food like halloumi or vegetarian pâté. Finish your lunch with one of the homemade cakes or pies.
Costs: € 7 – 10

Yoghurt barn
In this land of milk and cheese… it is always a good idea to get some yoghurt at the Yoghurt Barn! Make your own yoghurt with one of the mouth watering options or choose between the specials; our all time favorite is the Brownie Bango. Making it extra fancy? The Yoghurt Barn High Tea offers you four kinds of yoghurt served with cake and pie. We can go here every day!
Costs: 5 – 7 euro for yoghurt or € 19,95 for the Yoghurt Barn High Tea
