The Yoghurt Barn has been my favorite ever since it opened it’s doors at the Neude in 2012. And I still go there when I am craving yogurt ice, overnight oats or when I am treating my friend to a High tea for her birthday.

Yoghurt Barn: Still going strong

In those 6 years, the one at the Neude is my go-to. Upon entering the shop you’ll stumble upon the ‘bar’ where all things good are placed in glass containers. The concept hasn’t changed much over the years; Yoghurt Barn offers some (seasonal) specials, like my favorite Brownie Bango, and you have the option to make one yourself. Since about a year or two, you have the option to get overnight oats at the Barn. When on the road, I’ll get one of those to devour in the train.

High tea at Yoghurt Barn

The high tea at the Yoghurt Barn is also special. They try to incorporate as much yogurt as they can, so think toast with an avo + yogurt spread and more. They also serve 4 small yogurt specials and some of the sweets they serve in the Barn. You’ll finish your high tea with a froyo with some syrup of your own choosing. And it wouldn’t be a proper high tea if you didn’t have the option of having some with your food. The tea leaves come in flavors like the champagne one from tea bar Amsterdam. The high tea will leave you satisfied while not being completely full.

Pros

  • Big fan of yogurt? You’ll be like a kid in a sweet shop; unable to choose
  • The Yoghurt Barn offers a place to sit, with a kids corner with toys for your children
  • Allergies? The barn offers various lactose-free options like almond, cocos or oats milk

Cons

  • Most heard from friends: way overpriced! You’ll pay over 5 euros when making your own yogurt, medium sized with 3 toppings. And the overnight oats? Delicious but a small size is € 5,25
