On the most beautiful spot in Utrecht you will find Buck’s BBQ House! This restaurant serves Southern USA BBQ dishes which means a lot of spiced meat, grilled fish and all of that with some surprising sides. They also didn’t forget that meat is even better with nice beer so they also serve many craft beers. I hear you thinking; ‘That sounds like the perfect place to bring my boyfriend’. Yes it definitely is!

Costs: 9,75 – 14,75 for a main dish. Location: Oudegracht aan de Werf 159

Since Buck’s BBQ House is located in one of the wharf cellars the restaurant immediately has a unique vibe. While you having dinner in one of the oldest parts of Utrecht the scenery is still relatively modern with white walls, coloured furniture and nice lamps. While taking a look at their menu the first thing we noticed is that all the dishes are very well priced. All the main courses are not over 14,75 euro which is not bad considering the amount of food you get! They also have two mixed platters to share which are a little bit more expensive but overall this place is perfect if you want to have good food for a fair price.

Now you are probably wondering; So what did you guys eat? Well I brought my boyfriend with me (surely no surprise anymore haha) and we had so much food. We started by sharing pizza nachos. Seriously if you like nachos this is the place where you want to go. We got a huge platter full of richly topped nachos and it was very delicious.

As a main course we tried the philly cheese steak and the fish quesadillas with two sides. The main courses were quite okay but the sides we ordered really made it work. We tried the deluxe fries with guacamole and pork belly. Make sure to order that one because it was delicious! Moving on to dessert: There was no better way to end our dinner than with the Big Ass Unicorn Milkshake. Buck’s BBQ House is definitely a great place when your in a hungry mood and crazy about American food.

  • Nice and central location at Oudegracht
